Nothing lasts forever. Not the joy of a sunrise nor the sorrow of a fading sunset. Not the warmth of an embrace nor the ache of a goodbye. सर्वम् अनित्यम्—everything is impermanent.
We live as if things will remain, but they don’t. The moment we begin to hold on, time loosens our grip. Friendships change. Love transforms. Even pain, which seems endless in the moment, eventually dissolves into memory.
This impermanence is unsettling, yet liberating. If nothing lasts, then neither does failure. Neither does regret. Every experience, no matter how beautiful or cruel, is just passing through.
So, what do we do with this fleetingness? We accept it. We stop waiting for the perfect moment and live in the imperfect now. We let go of what weighs us down and open our palms to whatever the wind brings next.
Because in the end, we are all just echoes of moments—here for a breath, then gone.
